Recombinant Human bFGF
Recombinant human bFGF (Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor) expressed in Escherichia coli, is a heparin‑binding growth factor. It stimulates the proliferation of various cell types in vitro, including mesenchymal, neuroectodermal, and endothelial cells, and also exhibits potent angiogenic activity in vivo. bFGF acts synergistically with noggin, a BMP antagonist, to maintain the undifferentiated proliferation of human embryonic stem (hES) cells under feeder‑free conditions.
